| After a period of warming up the engine
oil, David Fires up the engine for the first time on site, as Kenny
checks for issues and Durward operates by hand the carburetor. As the
engine is operated just for a short time, no water supply is needed or
used. Also the propeller shaft is disconnected from the engine during
test firings for safety reasons.
After test firing the engine, the propellor shaft is recoupled to the engine, engine cowling reinstalled, driver's air system enabled, and a myriad of other last minute items are finished up. |
